Human Solutions delivers all services with a Trauma Informed Care (TIC) approach, as we work every day with families and individuals who are experiencing poverty and/or homelessness. Both of these are evidence-based approaches to services that Human Solutions has fully incorporated into our services and staff interactions and supervision. All Human Solutions staff receive on-going TIC training.
Every family and individual who accesses assistance through our shelters, rent assistance, rapid-rehousing and employment programs has a dedicated staff person who is there to support them as they work to meet their needs and achieve their goals. The foundation of everything we do at Human Solutions is understanding that how we do it is as important as what we do.
The key to successful supportive service is the quality of this relationship. We build ours on the principles of TIC. As a result, our services are culturally responsive, evidence-based and trauma informed, which means that our staff are trained to recognize traumatic responses and create a supportive and safe service environment. Since no two families share the same set of circumstances, our services are tailored to the needs of each family, with an emphasis on caring for children experiencing homelessness.
