Our Mission
Human Solutions’ mission is to help homeless and low-income families and individuals gain self-sufficiency by providing affordable housing, family support services, job readiness training and economic development opportunities.

Our Impact

In 2011-12, Human Solutions impacted our community and the families we serve in the following ways:

397 people received employment training

447 households (686 adults and 928 children) received rent assistance to prevent eviction and homelessness

56,442 people (callers or walk-ins) received information and referral services

255 people received short-term advocacy services to prevent or overcome homelessness

25,211 people received energy assistance (7,415 households)

1,024 people (420 adults and 604 children) went from homelessness into housing as a result of our services

47 adults attended anti-poverty classes and domestic violence support groups

678 families (1,027 adults and 1,362 children) were housed in our 608 units of affordable housing

651 people  families (316 adults and 335 children) received shelter and support services at our Daybreak Shelter and Family Winter Shelter

577 people (169 adults and 408 children) were served by our Holiday Store

50 people received outreach and advocacy services through our SocioMedical Partnership
